How It Works

1. Step 1
   Write a case

   Pick a stock and your side, long or short. The AI analyst drafts the thesis, catalysts, risks and levels; you make it yours.

2. Step 2
   Publish by the 25th

   Set a price target and a stop, then publish to the Community Board between the 1st and the 25th. Up to 3 cases a month count.

3. Step 3
   Get graded at month end

   We measure each case from the price at publication to the month's last close, on its own side. The top three win, and winners are published here.

Official Rules

Last updated October 2026. NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY. Void where prohibited.

1. Sponsor. The Monthly Case Challenge (the "Challenge") is run by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [ADDRESS] ("Gecko", "we"), operator of geckomode.ai.
2. Who can enter. Individuals aged 18 or older (or the age of majority where they live, if higher) with a Gecko account in their own name. One account per person. Not open to Gecko employees, contractors, the editorial research desk, or members of their households. Not open where the Challenge is prohibited or restricted by law, or to residents of countries or persons subject to sanctions. [ADD ANY EXCLUDED JURISDICTIONS.]
3. Challenge period. Twelve monthly rounds, from October 2026 through September 2027. Each round is one calendar month in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The first round, October 2026, opened while the month was already underway: qualifying cases published from October 1 count.
4. How to enter. Publish an investment case to the Community Board between 00:00 UTC on the 1st and 23:59 UTC on the 25th of the month. Qualifying cases are entered automatically. Entry is free; a paid plan is not required and does not improve your chances.
5. Qualifying cases. To qualify, a case must: (a) be on a common stock or ADR listed on a supported exchange; ETFs, funds, cryptocurrencies, currencies, futures and options do not qualify; (b) have a market capitalization of at least US$1 billion when published (non-US listings are converted at approximate exchange rates); (c) include a written thesis and both a price target and a stop at publication; and (d) stay published through the end of the month. Long and short cases both qualify.
6. Entry limit. Only your first 3 qualifying cases published in a month count for that month. You can win at most one prize per month; if several of your cases would place, only your best one counts and the next entrant moves up.
7. Scoring. Each case is scored on its own side: the percentage change from the price recorded at publication to the last daily closing price of the month for a long, and the same change inverted for a short. Returns are price-only (no dividends, borrowing costs or fees) and measured in the listing's local currency. The ticker and direction are locked once published; later edits to the text or levels do not change the score. Full measurement rules are on the Methodology page.
8. Ties. If two cases have the same return to two decimal places, the one published earlier ranks higher.
9. Winners and verification. Provisional results are posted on this page within 5 business days after each month ends. We then verify eligibility, data accuracy and compliance with these rules, and confirm the winners on this page. Winners are notified by email and must reply within 14 days, and may be asked for identity and tax details, or the prize passes to the next eligible entrant.
10. Prizes. Each month: 1st place receives US$250, paid electronically (for example PayPal or bank transfer) within 30 days of confirmation. 2nd place receives 12 months of Gecko Pro Unlimited (retail value US$192, the annual plan price). 3rd place receives 12 months of Gecko Pro (retail value US$115, the annual plan price). An existing paid subscription is extended by 12 months instead. Subscription prizes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash. Prizes are not transferable. Winners are responsible for any taxes.
11. Publication of winners. Winners are published on this page each month, with their public handle, their case and its result.
12. Fair play. We may disqualify entries or entrants that use multiple accounts, automation or other attempts to game the Challenge, publish cases that break the Community Board rules, or provide false information. If prices or data are wrong, we may correct the results. Votes on the board do not affect scoring. Our decisions on eligibility and results are final.
13. Not investment advice. Published cases are their authors' own opinions and are for information only. Nothing in the Challenge is investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. You do not need to trade, and should not trade, to take part. Past performance says nothing certain about the future.
14. Publicity. By entering you agree that your public handle, your case and its result may be shown on this page, the Community Board and our social channels.
15. Changes. We may change or end the Challenge for future rounds by posting the change here. A round already underway keeps its prizes.
